  I came in to purchase a storing tote for my xmas tree which was on sale. I tried to locate the product first but couldn't find it. So I waited for a staff member to assist me. When he came he told me it should be in tge other room. As we walked to the other room a gentlemen said hello to the guy. He then pointed from the entrance that it was right there. He stopped and started talking to the guy. So I looked at were he was pointing and it was on a shelf about 8ft off the ground. How was I going to get it. He didn't offer anymore help and continured talking to that gentleman. I said forget it I'm not making my purchase here and I left.

  After a disappointing trip to "the other guys" in Dundas I came up the hill to Home Hardware in University Plaza for help with a plumbing job. I admitted that I had little knowledge about the job but the gentlemen at service desk went above and beyond to assist.

  In many ways, this is a typical Home Hardware: very helpful and friendly staff; good selection without being overwhelming; very competitive prices.

  Small store but they have all the basics. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, particularly the younger guys... A+ service!

  I was there just after 1pm today. I went and stood in front of 2 employee's who were at a desk. Not one of them lifted there head to offer me any assistance. I waited walked away looked for item myself. Did not have it. Point I am making is if you both had taken the time to make me feel relevant. I probably would have made a 100$ or more purchase. A simple hi what can I help you with! Would have made my day. They are a small business you would think they would be kind to their customers. You lost out BIG TIME!

  They gathered all the parts needed and showed me how they all fit together. They even pulled up a how to video on their computer to give me the confidence to do it myself.
