A nice park to relax in...usually. The city did once promise to make this a fenced-in paid entrance area. What happened? They put up miniature fences...but do not limit the amount of people entering the area. Please police the park properly and the rating will be improved.

I've been coming to this park for over 20yrs and it's always the best time. I have partied there with a ton of friends and never had an issue. Nothing else but good times and a great time with the wife and kids too. I have to take my kids to the splash pad at least 10 or more times a year. The kids love the splash pad at Gage park and there's the park to play at directly beside the splash pad. Good time ppl. You gotta go,

It's a spacious beautiful park with lots to do! Plenty of beautiful trees with historic information makes for a unique walk with the dog while learning history! There is a small park with a splash pad for kids and a few picnic tables and benches for parents to sit. They are renovating gages parks beautiful and well known green house, host festival of friends among many other festivals during the summer and on most days has three big open fields covering 75 akers of land. Located in the middle is a beautiful and historic fountain with seating areas are outlets. Dirt course for bikes and is surrounded by local stores and restaurants!

Large inter city park. Don't know size, but probably a few hundred acres. They have greenhouses on the south/east with roses they grow to the north of greenhouses. Been hanging out here since my childhood day's. Band shell with lots of entertainment in the summer. It's great they brought back Festival of Friends. Lots of musicians showing off there talents and also a small midway and crafters showing off there stuff for sale. Also a kid's splash area. Lots of large trees to get out of the sun or picnics with the family. If you like flowers there are large flower beds with a wide range of perennials big and small. Kid's also like playing in the large water fountain. Great way to cool off after watching all the entertainment on a hot day. The park also have a few baseball diamonds on the south end of the park along with tennis courts and I still think they have lawn bowling. They have a stone road around the interior of the park if you are a runner or cyclists. Parking at the south end of the park. You are able to reach the park also by local buses.
