  Great staff with lots of knowledge. I'm there mostly for aquarium products. Fish room is large though I would like to see some more rare or exotic species which is why I took a star off. Other pet products seem well stocked and varied.

  I'm from Buffalo and always make a point of stopping at this aquarium shop whenever I'm in the area, or on the way to Toronto and I have time to stop. This is absolutely one of the best aquarium shops in Southern Ontario and Western New York. It's big, the selection is like a Walmart, and the people that work there are always friendly and willing to help if I have questions. I've bought many items from the place over the years, with the exception of fish and plants because I can't take them across the border. If I could, I would definitely make such purchases. Even taking the current exchange rate into account, the prices at Big Al's are better than the mom & pop shops back home in Western New York.

  Nice layout and everything. Only issue I had was with the shark I saw. Tank was too small for it and you never put a shark in a rectangular tank. They need to be in a racetrack style tank so they don’t bonk their noses.

  Awesome pet store to grab a coffee and walk around to look at all the different types of fish! Really cool shop... there's a huge tank at the rear of the fish area with a shark that swims around. There are other animals there besides just fish like rabbits, cats, small rodents, reptiles. Plus everything you need to care for said animals.

  Always a great experience. Staff is very knowledgable and helpful. The fish are always very healthy and have never had to return one that didn't make it.
