Don’t waste your time and money here. They don’t even deserve this 1 star, never again will I support any Beatties organizations. I hope no one else does either. Better off YouTubing and googling your pets symptoms and using home remedies. I cured my dog and I’m not a vet, guess I don’t need to be a vet to know it all.

Now, the vets that work at this location are a different story. Totally money grubbing, greedy, unprofessional, cold. I just came back from there this evening and I am just so upset with the way the vet dealt with my cat and the way I felt as if he had his hand basically in my wallet. He was clearly fresh out of school and needed his tuition loans paid off. So ridiculous. If it wasn't an emergency I would have taken my kitty to the Ancaster location which is a 5 star in my opinion, but they were totally booked. I am going to try and avoid this at all costs. I prefer a vet that cares about the animal patients welfare and not the cash flow.

I urge anyone who cares for the well being of their pet to NOT use this vet. There is many other great vet clinics in Hamilton and the surrounding areas that actually care for the well being of your pet and less for their financial gain. This place is an institution and their own care is for how many pets get through the door and how much money they can squeeze through its clients. I have never had a scheduled appointment that was less than a 45minute delay due to over booking. My final nail in the coffin happened when they made a little accounting error on my bill on my last visit and then decided to send me to collections regarding the very minimal sum of money vs the amount I have spent there over the last 5 years. I was never given the proper notice before they decided to send me a threatening email...this was all due to them not changing my account over properly 2 years prior (contact information). This probably due to being understaffed and rushing people out the door. I would have paid the amount with no problems if I was given the properly Given notice and they did not threaten collections, but it was past it as it was now the principle of what had happened. They still would budge over this very minimal amount even after evidentially proving they were in the wrong and threatening to move my dog from their future care. When I went in to pick up all of my dogs files and pay their lousy $30 screw up they tacked on a interest charge and still expected me to pay that for their mistake! The response I was given by the lady at the counter was “people make mistakes”! I sure am happy that even though they made the mistakes they still think it’s justified to charge me interest! Moral of the story...stay away....far away!!!!’

The vet at Beattie's (I forget her name but very nice lady) Actually listened to me. After doing an ultrasound they discovered my dog's pot belly was a result of an enlarged liver. We're now treating this appropriately, finally.

My dog has a pot belly but no extra flab or fat to grab like most fat dogs do. My previous vet constantly told me my dog needed to lose weight and I was overfeeding her. My dog has never been overfed and is extremely well exercised. They would brush it off and recommended diet food.

The WORST service imaginable. IF A ZERO WAS POSSIBLE, ID GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE 100!! My dog got hit by a car and we called in advance and rushed over. Before they would look at him (while he was bleeding Through the towel) they let me know they would only see him if payment was made upfront. I understand service fees needed to be made, but this place Only cares about money, Not pets. After the sedative they left me alone in the observation room without checking on us for 15 mins at 1am! He threw up on the table and I had to support his bloody legs ALONE and confused. I was short 3 dollars and they didn't want to give him meds or a cone until I found it. Even when he cried, they smiled and took my money. Worst place ever and they need an overhaul or to be shut down completely!!!! Worst and most traumatic experience of my life.

I think they could improve their admin process a bit, so I removed one star. Twice I got a phone call from them but no voicemail left. Both times I was waiting to get my dog so I just went to pick her up but I wish they'd leave a voicemail or even email. That's only happened twice though, not every time.

I've taken my dog here a few times since December, after leaving my previous vet and being unhappy with them.

I'd like to begin by saying the techs and assistants deserve a 5 star review because they have always been friendly, professional and compassionate. I've had my cat in to have his claws clipped several times and they are always gentle and kind and my cat never seems traumatized or stressed when he comes out after the clipping.

I've never waited long, they've always been prompt to address me. I'm glad they call after work hours and my dog has never seem stressed or freaked out when I would leave her for a day of testing.
