  You know it's pretty sad when you take your son to a dentist to call and make an appointment and take him and then you get there and because your son is scratching his head they turn around and they tell you oh sorry we can't deal with your son's mouth even though he's in pain and can't sleep at night or anything like that because he's in that much pain but because he's scratching his head and we're pretty sure a hundred percent sure that he has head lice we are not going to help this child in pain instead we're going to tell the parent sorry we cannot take your child because we are pretty sure that he has had lice so therefore we can't help him with his tooth pain now that is the most ignorant and rude is thing I've ever heard from a dentist how can you turn away or to Pride a child in dire need with tooth pain...... so I suggest if you have children and whatever dates are School ages do not take your children there because if they kind of scratch their head or something still tell you over there pretty sure that your child has head lice we can't look at their teeth :( so so very disappointed how would I rate their quality of care non-existing at that present moment they had no care whatsoever

  I was so apprehensive about going to the dentist after a series of health events which resulted in unhealthy teeth and gums. Let's face it, I was down right scared. That was until I got to know the staff at East Gate Dental Centre. They all took the time to explain things to me and listen to my concerns. I actually felt like I was part of the process of reconstructing my new found dental health.

  Dr. Rival takes the time to explain what needs to be done, explains options and makes sure you understand what is happening and why, which is exactly how it should be.

  Have you ever had the type of thing that was beyond your control but was terribly uncomfortable, to the point of embarrassing? Something that you were aware of everyday, when you eat, when you smile , even when you breath? Or a fear that the cure could be worse than the ailment? I have, and Dr. Rival and Staff at East Gate Dental Centre put my pain and mind at ease, resulting in a beautiful smile and a healthy happy relationship with my Dental health team!

  The dentist is very skilled, unfortunately the front desk staff are borderline psychotic if you dare to cancel an appointment late. I understand that there is a fee for cancelation, however there is no need for personal insults. There was no compassion and no amount of apologies were enough for this lady. She was extremely unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend going to this office if you have any mental health difficulties as you are likely to be treated poorly by their front-line workers.

  I am 63 years old and had not been to a dentist in 50 years due to a very bad experience. I endured an infected tooth for over a week before finally going to see Dr. Gelman. This man was so pleasant, gentle and non-judgmental. I will definitely recommend this clinic to all. Thank you. ☺

  Edit after owner's comment: I told her that I understood that there was a cancellation fee and I was willing to pay it. I asked to make a new appointment as my reason for cancelation was severe illness, and she continued to insult my character. Saying "what kind of a person is so careless to call so late, how could you do that? don't you understand that some people have to work for a living?" No matter how many times I apologized she continued, so I terminated the conversation. I do not feel that the words she used were professional.

  I have been going to Eastgate dental for years and I have nothing bad to say about the place at especially when I get my teeth clean Amanda who does it is very nice and is never in a rush when doing my cleaning.

  Dr. Rival, the Dental Surgeon, is amazing! I am honoured to say that he has worked on, and continues to work on my teeth. His chair side manor is beyond comforting.
